That’s what makes us powerful
With only a few thousand fans in the country, you would think that achieving anything to do with
international celebrities is just a dream these people may have. But for us South African Directioners
we aim to achieve the impossible.
Starting with only a few hundred of us we decided we wanted their debut song What Makes
You Beautiful to reach Number One on the Kia Take 40 SA, a countdown for the top 40 songs In
Johannesburg and the Cape.
Our goal as the SA1DArmy is to get What Makes you Beautiful to number one and while we were
busy doing this we were tweeting Mark Pilgrim, the host of the Take 40 SA show to do an interview
with One Direction and well, we achieved this! All we need now is to get What Makes You Beautiful
to number one so please South Africa take five minutes out of your day to help us out.

Highveld Stereo / KFM supports #SA1DArmy & One Direction
Last week we got WMYB to No 5 on the Take40SA chart. It jumped 5 places!
I hope that you are all still voting my SA1DArmy. Without you, none of this is possible. If we can get them to jump 5 places in a week, we need to do this once more and WMYB will be NUMBER 1!
This week alone, the SA1DArmy has been mentioned 3 times on the radio. This is HUGE for us.
We started off as a small group of fans who thought nobody would ever notice. By working together, we have made the radio station sit up and take notice of the #SA1DArmy!
I am so proud to be associated with my SA Directioners! You guys rock!!!
Mark Pilgrim has really made everyone notice us. He interviewed Niall and Niall says he definitely sees our tweets! The full interview will be broadcast during the Take40SA show this Saturday – imagine how awesome it would be if WMYB went to Number 1 as well!

Pabi mentioned us on her show today and played One Thing! First time in SA – I mean how amazing is that???

Get WMYB to No 1!!
SA 1D Army – we have another challenge for you!
Lets get WMYB to No 1 on the Kia Take40SA on Highveld / KFM.
If we can get them to rise up the charts, Mark Pilgrim will take notice & then he won’t have a choice but to interview the boys.
When he interviews them, I am sure he will mention how the SA1DArmy worked so hard and the boys will then take notice of us!
Vote everyday! We need you to help us get 1D to the TOP!
Once we get WMYB to the top position, we can then start working on getting One Thing played on air.
Highveld confirmed that they will not play 2 songs by the same artist. SO lets concentrate on WMYB for now.
They are currently in 10th position.

Challenge 2- Mark Pilgrim Harassment
We have been on a mission to get Mark Pilgrim of 94.7 Highveld Stereo (and 94.5 KFM on Saturdays) to play One Thing.
The reason for this is two-fold:
1: We want to expose more of 1D’s music to potential fans out there
2: we want to hear 2 of our boys songs on the radio (I will never get tired of listening to WMYB)
Next week when he is back we will bombard him again – I will remind you and beg and plead to tweet him again next week! Please remember to tell him your requests are for the #SA1DArmy, so that he knows we mean business!! 🙂
We will also ask him to interview the guys telephonically, it might help our cause as he often speaks to bands such as Lady Antebellum, Daughtry, Hot Chelle Rae etc
