One Direction Land Guest Roles In US Series ‘iCarly’
One Direction’s plan to crack the American market has been given a huge leg-up – as the pop quintet have landed a guest spot on TV series iCarly.
The show stars Miranda Cosgrove, of School of Rock fame, as a girl who hosts an online show with her friends.
MTV News reports that the boys’ appearance will be in the upcoming fifth season, when Cosgrove’s lead character falls ill after coming home from a trip.
Her mood is lifted by the news that One Direction will perform ‘What Makes You Beautiful’ on her show – only for Harry Styles to catch her bug. But, when the gang realise Harry is playing sick for the attention, they hatch a plan to get him back in the group by telling him another character, Gibby, has become their newest bandmember.
The boys are apparently going to be shooting their appearance on Monday (January 30), ahead of their album Up All Night‘s US release on March 20.

With only a few thousand fans in the country, you would think that achieving anything to do with
international celebrities is just a dream these people may have. But for us South African Directioners

Johannesburg and the Cape.
Our goal as the SA1DArmy is to get What Makes you Beautiful to number one and while we were
busy doing this we were tweeting Mark Pilgrim, the host of the Take 40 SA show to do an interview
with One Direction and well, we achieved this! All we need now is to get What Makes You Beautiful
to number one so please South Africa take five minutes out of your day to help us out.

It all started when Harry mentioned us on their One Direction Facebook Page. He mentioned the Brit Awards, so I am sure he will be writing to the other countries too…. but for now we still feel special.

Last week we got WMYB to No 5 on the Take40SA chart. It jumped 5 places!
I hope that you are all still voting my SA1DArmy. Without you, none of this is possible. If we can get them to jump 5 places in a week, we need to do this once more and WMYB will be NUMBER 1!
This week alone, the SA1DArmy has been mentioned 3 times on the radio. This is HUGE for us.
We started off as a small group of fans who thought nobody would ever notice. By working together, we have made the radio station sit up and take notice of the #SA1DArmy!

Mark Pilgrim has really made everyone notice us. He interviewed Niall and Niall says he definitely sees our tweets! The full interview will be broadcast during the Take40SA show this Saturday – imagine how awesome it would be if WMYB went to Number 1 as well!

Yesterday the #SA1DArmy ruled the Twitter Trends!
Sparked by Liam who asked us where we wanted 1D to appear, we got started at 12 noon yesterday and got #SouthAfricaUpAllNight to the No 1 Spot!
Directioners, we have proven that with focus and by all working together, we can do it.
